UPDATE: 12:55pm: CP24 reports that the man hit by the glass has been taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
UPDATE 12:40pm: We’ve added a photo tweeted from the scene by TalkCondo.
Several Toronto news outlets are reporting that glass has fallen from the Shangri-La Hotel at the northwest corner of University and Adelaide in Toronto. Police are on the scene and there have been reports of a 53 year-old man being injured by the glass.
This is the second time this year that glass has fallen from the Shangri-La. The first incident occurred in January when glass fell from the 37th floor. There were no injuries.
On August 20th, glass fell from the 53rd floor of the Four Seasons in Yorkville and landed on a Rolls Royce parked outside. In November 2012, a pane of glass fell from Trump Tower at Bay and Adelaide.
Here’s another photo from the Shangri-La (via TalkCondo) and a few of the early tweets reporting the incident:
Almost hit with some falling shattered glass, outside of the @ShangriLaTO. Had I walked by 3 seconds sooner, I would have been a victim.

Police told me @newstalk1010 that the glass came from the Shangri-La Hotel. That would make it the second time this has happened since Jan.
