NOW Magazine is holding its annual Best of Toronto poll and is asking readers to cast their votes for their top choices in a wide variety of Toronto businesses working within different industries. Among the categories are music, books, shopping, and cityscape.
An obvious favourite of ours is the Best Condo Developer in Toronto. Check out the list of nominees below and peruse some of the renderings of their most popular Toronto projects.
High Park Condos is currently under construction at 1844 Bloor Street West. Designed by Diamond + Schmitt Architects, the project is garnering plenty of attention for its sought after location across from (you guessed it) High Park.
Another Daniels favourite is Cinema Tower, nearing completion in Toronto’s Entertainment District on King West. The project’s Rent-to-Own program is a major highlight, as is its unique relationship with the Toronto International Film Festival and the adjacent Bell Lightbox Theatre.
Urbancorp’s Val Homes is in pre-construction at 300 Valermo Drive in Etobicoke. Spacious homes range in size from 2765 to 3875 square feet and are priced from $779,990.
Urbancorp has many projects on the go that are more centrally located in the city as well. Edge on Triangle Park, which the company is co-developing with Plaza, is currently under construction in Queen West, near Ossington.
Staying true to their mission of always building projects along streetcar lines, Streetcar is bringing The Carlaw to Leslieville in Toronto’s East End. Some of the big draws to this project are the expert interiors by Seven Haus Design and the thriving shopping and dining scene on Queen East.
The Carnaby is part of Streetcar’s ambitious Queen West community that also includes 8 Gladstone. Surrounded by hip boutique shops, clubs and restaurants, residents of The Carnaby will never be struggling to find something to do on a Friday night.
Reserve enlisted hotly tipped architecture firm RAW to bring some drama to their 6 storey project on Ossington. 109OZ is composed of sleek glass, brick, and metal and embodies the contemporary style that’s ubiquitous on the Ossington strip.
Sitting at 1 Market Street, Market Wharf residents will be able to rise and shine whenever they like and still be able to make it to the St. Lawrence Market to grab the freshest produce before the rest of the city.
That wraps up our rundown of NOW’s Best Condo Developer nominees list. Looks like it will be a fierce competition!
Best of luck to all of the nominees. We look forward to seeing who comes out in top spot. Cast your vote here.
