The picturesque Niagara-on-the-Lake area is a popular tourist attraction throughout the year. Despite this, it never loses its quaint small town charm.
Although the Niagara Region is known for producing many delicious wines, the fertile land is very fruitful and yields many other fresh local goods.
To celebrate one of the area’s sweeter bounties, each summer Niagara-on-the-Lake holds a two day Peach Celebration that pays tribute to the local peach growers.
Held in the town’s Heritage District, the peach festivities include varieties of food, live entertainment and a kids’ corner.
And, just like the fruits the area produces, Solmar’s new community will be a fresh addition to Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Once complete, the Cannery Park development, designed by ACK Architects, will boast 235 homes that have a contemporary design and traditional features.
The homes will range in size from 1128 square feet to 2255 square feet making the community a great place for families of all ages.
Future residents of Cannery Park will be pleased to learn that the Peach Celebration isn’t the only place to get fresh fruit in Niagara-on-the-Lake, each Saturday morning throughout the summer, a farmer’s market is held in the village.
Fresh baked goods, prepared food, cheese, handmade soaps, and fresh produce are all available for people to enjoy at the market.
Organic food isn’t the only thing in ample supply for Niagara-on-the-Lake residents, the small town is also filled with fine dining establishments, specialty boutiques, hotels, and parks.
