A new Harlem residential project at 58 West 129th Street has gotten the green light.
The seven-story, 19-unit building will be designed by Alexander Compagno, according to a plan exam application approved August 6th. Located between Fifth and Lenox avenues, the project will have 17,962 square feet of residential space, with a gym and recreational area. There will be just one apartment on the top floor, according to this Schedule A filing.
The developer is Kane Ventures, the same firm behind Five West at 5 West 127th Street nearby. The 13 one- and two-bedrooms, asking from $425,000 to $699,000, sold out in three months.
58 West 129th Street will be completed in 2014, according to the developer’s site.
Fun fact: the firm is named after Will Kane, the hero of the classic 1952 Western film High Noon. “Inspired by Marshal Kane, Kane Ventures is a company with strong integrity and dedication,” the developer’s site states. “We will stay true to our principles as we seek to add value for our investors and for our clients.”
