The most expensive unit yet has been released at HFZ Capital’s The Marquand in the Upper East Side.
The 12-story, 40-unit development at 11 East 68th Street caught our luxury-loving eye back in April with the announcement that condos would start at $15 million. And now, Unit 10 East, a five-bedroom measuring 4,596 square feet, has just hit the market asking $22 million.
So what does $4,787 per square foot get you? Four and a half baths, private elevator entry, rich oak flooring in “a custom Parquet de Versailles pattern,” 10-foot ceilings, ample windows, wood-burning fireplaces in the living room and dining room, an eat-in kitchen with center island, a library and a master suite with his-and-her dressing rooms. The master bath comes with onyx stone walls, double vanities, soaking tub and separate glass shower. There are also private service quarters, including a separate service elevator and hall.
Shelton, Mindel & Associates and Beyer Blinder Belle Architects modernized the 1913 Beaux-Arts Revival building. Amenities include a 24-hour doorman and concierge, fitness center with on-site personal trainer, kids’ lounge and storage rooms available for purchase.
Douglas Elliman is marketing the property. Just look at that floorplan:
