Azzam_bei_Lürssen A German built 590 foot yacht is currently being tested in the North Sea following its debut at a shipbuilder dock in April.

Azzam, the world’s largest yacht by 57 feet, took three years to build and cost £400 million ($596.8 million USD).

Yacht aficionados are speculating that a Middle Eastern billionaire ordered the behemoth. Azzam features two gas turbines and two diesel engines and can travel in excess of 30 knots.

The mega-yacht is said to have hit 31.5 knots in a trial, making it the world’s fastest as well.
