As we’ve noted in the past, prior to the 1990s Shanghai’s skyline was a low-lying, natural vista devoid of any tall buildings. Today it’s home to more than 4,000 towers, and there’s no media that captures the grandeur better than photographer Rob Whitworth’s “This is Shanghai” time-lapse video.
“There was always an adrenaline rush upon reaching the top of a different building to see the vast urban jungle of Shanghai,” Whitworth explains in his Vimeo description.
We get an adrenaline rush just watching it.
