Love architecture as much as we do? Then you’ll enjoy Archilovers, a social network for architecture fans and professionals to post projects and exchange ideas and interests.
Archilovers’ best feature is the integrated Google Map, which allows users to discover cool structures by location. From there a building’s exterior can be viewed with Street View, assuming Google has sent one of its camera-mounted cars to the location.
Some constructions are “featured” and have a dedicated project page where you’ll find plenty more photos and info on the design. For example, New York’s One World Trade Center has a page filled with dizzying construction shots, while the page for the Toronto Sick Kids Children Hospital includes a tour of the building’s interior.
So if you are an architecture aficionado then you’ll have no trouble wasting a good chunk of your day clicking around the site. Give it a try here.
