New details have floated to the surface for Williamsburg’s 421 Kent Avenue.
Beijing-based Xinyuan Real Estate Co. bought the two-acre parcel in 2012, with plans for a big low-rise residential complex. The building will be eight stories tall and have 216 apartments, according to a plan exam application filed July 22nd.
WASA/Studio A is designing the development, which will range from one-bedroom to four-bedroom units and have townhouses, says the firm’s site.
The elevator building will include parking, a courtyard, art gallery, day care, cafe, gym and plenty o’ duplexes — 40, according to this Schedule A filing. Here’s a rendering of the courtyard from WASA’s site:
