Sixty-fiver per cent of homes were snatched up during Seylynn Village‘s grand opening over the weekend, making the well-attended event one of the most successful real estate development launches ever in North Vancouver.
If you haven’t been following the project, a little background: North Vancouver’s official community plan was adopted in 2011 after a two-year public process. At the heart of the plan is a network of four town and village centres: Lynn Valley Town Centre, Lower Lynn Town Centre, Lower Capilano-Marine Drive Village Centre, and Maplewood Village Centre. Most of North Vancouver’s projected population growth over the next two decades will be in these areas. Lower Lynn Town Centre is envisioned as a vibrant neighbourhood with access to services, shops, transit, parks, bike paths and a network of trails.
The revitalization of Lower Lynn includes a range of multi-family housing and affordability options, starting with the 790 homes projected for Seylynn Village. The area will be ideal for young working adults, families, seniors looking to downsize and first-time homebuyers.
Beacon (pictured above) is the first of three towers under construction in the Seylynn Village master plan community. Next up are Compass in 2014 and Apex in 2015. Expected occupancy date for Beacon is 2015.
Also of note: you still have a chance to win the free Seylynn Village condo in the Beacon tower by registering at the sales centre located at 600 Mountain Highway in North Vancouver. Full contest details are here.
