The Station crane 2

During our last visit to The Station‘s job site, we thought it was perfect construction weather. Sunny skies, warm temperatures, light wind — everything was coming up The Station.

Then second winter arrived on the scene and every Torontonian got upset about the weather all over again. And, of course, it didn’t do the construction crew any favours either.

When we paid a visit to The Station at the beginning of May, we were confident that the cold had finally passed. We could see the construction workers had a little extra spring in their step (pun very much intended).

The team is currently working on the third basement slab in the foundation and preparing the site for service work which will commence in September. While speaking to Romano Borean, the site superintendent, he offered up some of his own personal photos that he’d been snapping over the last few weeks. His photo collection was a treasure trove of unique views of the site — including a bird’s eye view from one of the cranes.

We mixed some of his great photos in with our own for this edition of Dig to Done. Enjoy!

It was a warm day, so looks like the workers were treating themselves to ice cream.

We posted one of Romano’s great shots on the BuzzBuzzHome Instagram, with astounding results!
