NYC Seeing Eye Person Improv Everywhere Looking up from your phone to cross the street is such a drag.

To remedy this texting-while-pedestrian-failing problem, prank collective Improv Everywhere worked with Buzzfeed to bring a fake “seeing-eye person” program to the streets of New York.

Like their (legitimate) pooch counterparts, these orange-vested guides use leashes to help preoccupied pedestrians navigate the sidewalks.

About 60 Improv Everywhere participants split into two groups: half were “seeing-eye people” and the other half were text-walkers. The pranksters claimed to be part of a Department of Transportation pilot program.
