Fortis Property Group is cooking up two seven-story apartment towers with over 100 units total in Hell’s Kitchen.
The buildings will be located at 540 West 49th Street and 545 West 48th Street, according to city documents. The towers will be connected by a breezeway and will be designed by S9, an affiliate of Perkins Eastman Architects.
Permits filed in December 2012 note that the West 48th Street building will have 55 units, while the one on West 49th Street will have 62 units, for a total of 117 residences.
Design firm the Meshberg Group is designing the entrances, kitchens, baths, hallways and living spaces of the towers.
The project is slated for completion in spring 2014, according to Meshberg’s site.
Fortis bought the 100,716-square-foot development site for $23.5 million in June 2012, CoStar reported. The deal consisted of six parcels, with an auto repair shop, a parking garage and a parking lot.
