Douglas Elliman will be the exclusive sales agent for the last apartments up for grabs at classy Chelsea conversion Walker Tower.
The 24-story, 50-unit building, located at 212 West 18th Street, was originally designed by the venerated Ralph Thomas Walker. JDS Development Group and Property Markets Group are the developers.
Because it was built in 1929, before pesky height limits were enacted in the area, the development towers above its surroundings like, uh, a Walker Tower.
The residences feature high ceilings, large tilt-and-turn windows, hydronic radiant floor heating and 360-degree views of Manhattan. More than half of the apartments have private terraces, and there are 11 units with wood-burning fireplaces.
Among the few remaining units is a 5,900-square-foot penthouse, which has yet to be released to the public.
Amenities include a 24-hour doorman, concierge, library lounge with pantry and bar (our favorite kind of library), children’s playroom, fitness center with yoga room, sauna and landscaped common roof deck with dining area, sun lawn, observation area and covered cabana room.
