How do you say “Khaleesi” in Vietnamese?
With a giganto fire-breathing dragon bridge over the Han River.
The $85 million, 545-foot structure is covered in over 2,500 LED lights and is the largest dragon-shaped bridge in the world.
Construction began in 2009, and the bridge had its inauguration on March 29, the 38th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang. The six-lane exercise in reptilian fierceness was designed by US-based The Louis Berger Group to evoke the shape of the dragon in the Ly Dynasty.
Watch the bridge’s fire-spewing in action below, via The Verge. Apparently, the dragon head can also shoot water in the air, but that’s not nearly as cool.
