updated-feedBuzzBuzzHome has created a new framework for homebuilders that allows them to place their home data online. BXS (Buzz XML Standard) was created to overcome difficulties in sharing and distributing new home information.

Tridel, Toronto’s largest condominium builder, is one of several Canadian developers using the new standard.

The BXS framework is an important part of BuzzBuzzHome’s mission to make all of Canada’s new home listing information available online. BXS streamlines the process by providing a common standard for the exchange of new construction real estate data.

The reaction from the development industry has been overwhelmingly positive, with several major residential developers praising the originality and efficiency of the framework.

“By directly tying into our XML feed, BuzzBuzzHome visitors will be getting up-to-date information on Tridel homes right from our database, something other aggregate real estate websites have failed to do because of their reliance on manual updating or scraping,” says Gino Maulucci, Tridel’s Senior Marketing Manager.

Developers looking to adopt the standard simply need to publish a web page containing their new home data in the BXS format. BuzzBuzzHome is then able to pull the information and share it with others. Ultimately, the framework allows developers to syndicate their inventory online, similar to the way airlines share flight availability with aggregators like Kayak and Expedia.

It’s a significant step forward that brings increased transparency to the real estate industry and centralizes data that was once diffuse, unreliable and out-of-date.
