BBH Data Calgary Welcome to the first Western Canadian edition of BBH Data, where we comb through and examine new construction data on our site to bring you interesting and timely stats on local markets.

In this edition, we’re looking at average pricing and square footage for Calgary’s new condo market. But before we list our findings, a quick disclaimer: This data is based on figures from condo projects in Calgary city proper. If you’re looking for Cochrane numbers, move along, friend.

Okay, let’s get to it:

The average price of a new condo suite in Calgary is $349,379, according to unit pricing information currently available on BuzzBuzzHome. The highest suite price is $919,000 and belongs to the luxurious West 17th Lofts. The lowest price for a new Calgary condo is Evanston Square‘s $137,000-units.

The median price of a new Calgary condo — based on the 141 samples on BuzzBuzzHome — is $334,900. The same sample size also tells us that the average price per square foot in Calgary is $262.66.

And speaking of square footage, the smallest Calgary condo on our site is 418-square-feet and, like the most inexpensive home, can be found at Evanston Square. The largest suite is an impressive 3,122-square-foot home at Ovation at Westgate Park.

Keep your eye out for a new edition of BBH Data next month, which promises to include even more data. For a look at new construction data on Toronto’s condo market, check out our first installment of BBH Data here.

Methodology: All data is based on unit plans found on BuzzBuzzHome. To increase accuracy, each average and estimation has been adjusted to exclude 10 per cent from the top and bottom of the data.
