NY2 With spring fast approaching, the construction team at NY2 is preparing to kick it into high gear. As any construction expert knows, winter can be a tough time to maintain a quick pace on a project, especially a winter rife with Snowmageddons like the one Toronto just experienced.

As the city thaws, new and mostly mud-related difficulties arise, but as the summer months near, the pace will pick up and The Daniels Corporation project will soon rise from the site at Bayview and Sheppard Avenue.

NY2 is notable both for its excellent location adjacent to the Bayview Village Shopping Centre and its proximity to the Bayview Subway Station. It’s also garnered attention for its Rent 2 Own Program that allows purchasers to accumulate their down payment after they’ve moved into their suites. NY2 is currently in its registration phase and will be inviting registrants to its presentation centre in April to learn more about the development and the Rent 2 Own program.

We stopped by the job site to snap some photos and chat with the Daniels team about construction progress.

With the weather warming up, the site is busier than ever.

As you can see, the site is a little muddier than usual due to the winter thaw. This can slow down progress, but it’s nothing the team can’t handle.

The NY2 crew will only need a single crane, as it can reach all corners of the site.

The crane was busy lifting containers of cement from the mixer at street level and lowering them into the site.
