Looks like Cetra/Ruddy will be the architect for the condo conversion of the former Flatotel in Times Square.
Joseph Chetrit and David Bistricer spent $180 million to acquire the 135 West 52nd Street building from the Rockpoint Group, Atlas Capital Group and Procaccianti Group, who foreclosed on the 289-room hotel earlier this year. We spotted Cetra/Ruddy’s name on a building permit application filed March 1. The project will be 48 stories and 492 feet tall. The applications calls for knocking down the interior walls in the cellar, first floor and floors 8 through 45.
The apartments will likely hit the market in fall or winter 2014, Bistricer told Crain’s in February. Pricing has yet to be announced.
