We’re pretty gobsmacked (glass-smacked?) by these new renderings for Baccarat Hotel and Residences, the glittering, SOM-designed condo project by Tribeca Associates LLC and Starwood Capital.
We broke the news on pricing yesterday for the 46-story, 61-unit tower on 20 West 53rd Street. Available units start at $2.265 million for a 932-square-foot one-bedroom and range up to $60 million for the five-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom “pinnacle” duplex penthouse with 7,381 square feet of interior floor space and a 417-square-foot balcony.
The one- to five-bedroom residences at the Midtown, MoMA-facing building will occupy floors 18 through 49, with four full-floor homes. The ceilings will reach up to 14 feet, and the vertically blessed windows will be 10 feet tall in most apartments and 14 feet tall in the top four floors.
The living room of the penthouse comes with a “floating fireplace and wet bar,” opening into a double-height loggia with views of Central Park, according to the official website. The upper floor has a 1,137-square-foot master suite with a sitting room, fireplace, separate dressing rooms (modesty!) and a bathroom with dual showers, double “water closets,” a central vanity and floating sculptural bath tub.
Transfix yourself in the renderings below. First up, a first glimpse of the much-vaunted $60 million crystal penthouse:
Whew! Onto the rest of the renderings, which are heavy on style and mood lighting via chandelier:
