UPDATE 2/15, 7am: David Maundrell of Aptsandlofts.com confirmed this morning that 48 Box Street is sold out, within three weeks after launch.
The six-unit, neo-townhouse-style Greenpoint development launched sales yesterday with a sneak preview. The available units range from a 1,000-square-foot two-bedroom for $635,000 to a 1,463-square-foot three-bedroom for $899,000.
All apartments boast direct elevator access and private outdoor space; the duplex penthouse has a whopping four outdoor spaces, including two seventh-floor terraces with slackjaw-inducing views of Manhattan.
The units’ open granite-counter kitchens and generous living areas make for prime entertaining space; with the sexy recessed lighting, artsy stained oak floors and young, fancy-eyewear crowd, we felt like well-coiffed extras in the HBO drama of your choice.
What especially caught our eye was the largest apartment in the building: the 1,631-square-foot one-bedroom on the ground floor has a rear yard and a massive rec room that could easily host an indoor hockey fest, or an inside slip-and-slide in warmer weather. The scale of the “cellar” even prompted one attendee to utter, “This is mancave heaven.”
Why yes, sir, it is. Open-house snaps and floorplans below:
