There’s been plenty of buzz swirling around Intracorp’s River Park Place project ever since the development company purchased the five acres of land near Richmond’s Olympic Oval.

Last week, the Vancouver Sun added to the excitement when they spoke with Intracorp president Don Forsgren about the mixed-use project.

“In Richmond, what you’ll see is a transformation from a light industrial area to a vibrant residential neighbourhood – [River Park Place will be] a three-phase, three-tower development with shopping, cafés, nice restaurants, a wide sidewalk, double rows of trees and street parking,” Forsgren told the Sun, adding that a shuttle bus will be available to ferry residents to the nearby Canada Line.

“Our vision is to create very much an urban experience with all the advantages – the kind of environment a lot of people are looking to live in,” Forsgren continued.

And that, of course, will be accomplished with River Park Place’s on-site amenities, which include a fitness facility, multi-use indoor sports court, lobby lounge and meeting room, and an outdoor dining area with a barbecue and fire pit. There’s also plenty of nearby shops and services, not to mention a T & T supermarket that’s slated for construction right at River Park.

To go along with these newly announced details, we were excited to get our hands on a couple of new renderings of the condo project that will enter the construction phase early in 2013. Check those out here.
