Big news for a tiny project: Surrey city councillors gave the go ahead to Tien Sher’s exciting Balance micro-loft project last month, so now the developer is in the midst of finalizing timelines, with sales expected to begin in early 2013!

Balance has been generating plenty of buzz locally, nationally and internationally for providing new housing solutions and affordability – not to mention its size.

When the project is completed in the fall or winter of 2014, it’s expected the units will be some of Canada’s smallest – anywhere from 290-square-feet to 635-square-feet.

Priced from just $109,900, the 56-unit, four-storey development will make it possible for buyers to own a home for as little as $600 a month, which is comparable to the monthly of a Metro Vancouver basement suite that’s on the cheaper side.
