Creating the shoring system around the entire perimeter of the site entailed one of the largest residential concrete pours in the GTA. If you drive by the hoarding or check out U Condos online, you can see for yourself that excavation is complete, and that work has begun on the underground parking structures. Both towers are expected to rise to ground level by the end of January 2013.
Located on Bay Street, just south of Bloor between St. Mary and St. Joseph, U Condos residents will be ideally situated to enjoy all that downtown Toronto has to offer — from restaurants to upscale shopping to an incredible variety of cultural attractions. Yorkville, the University of Toronto, the Royal Ontario Museum, and excellent transit options are all located only moments away from U Condos.
We profiled some of the key cultural hotspots and prime destinations for foodies back in September, but this time around, we’re getting our hands dirty and focusing on construction progress at U Condos.
We nabbed some photos taken at the site near the end of the summer for your viewing pleasure below! Check them out…
We’ll have further construction updates for you throughout the fall. Keep in the loop on this exciting project at BuzzBuzzHome News.
