Plans for 24 condo units at 87 Chambers St. were approved in August, according to records filed with the Department of Buildings.
The previous owner of the property was Fishman Holdings, which had planned to redevelop the site as a 45,000-square-foot, 108-room hotel. The original structure, a walk-up apartment building, partially collapsed in 2009.
CB Developers will progress with the project as Fishman planned it, Fishman executive vice president Yehuda Mor told The Real Deal. The firm sold the 87 Chambers St. site to focus on a project at 950 Second Avenue, Mor added.
Blaichman’s developments include the Soho House and the West Village condos 173 and 176 Perry Street.
