After an extensive summer search, the Greater Vancouver Home Builders Association has appointed Bob de Witt as its new Chief Executive Officer.

De Witt will replace Peter Simpson, who is retiring at age 68 at the end of October. De Witt currently resides in South Surrey with his wife and daughter. He has degrees in marketing (BBA) and economics (MA) from Simon Fraser University.

In an official statement de Witt says that, “I am honoured and excited to have the opportunity to join the GVHBA and help build on the efforts of Peter and his excellent team. I enjoy my network of friends and associates who are active in the residential construction industry. As an entrepreneur, I can appreciate the issues they face and the value they bring to customers.”

Commenting on de Witt Simpson notes that, “I am delighted Bob emerged as the new leader tasked with taking this respected association to greater heights of excellent for members and consumers alike.”

Sounds like exciting times are ahead for the GVHBA.
