Devron Developments may be the new builder on the block in the Toronto condo market, but that just means they’re incredibly committed to making their first project a memorable one.

Ron Safapour, the president and CEO of Devron, is an architect and has over thirty years of experience in the design and construction of residential, commercial and institutional mid-rise and high-rise buildings. The builder also has significant experience in the custom build home industry, along with its sister company, Ron Custom Homes.

Flo Condos, the company’s first condo project in Toronto, is situated near the highly competitive strip of Yonge Street between the 401 and Sheppard Avenue West. Since it’s launch in the summer, Flo has been a hit in the neighbourhood and is now 50 per cent sold out, according to Pouyan Safapour, Devron‘s Vice President Operations.

“We have a relaunch coming up during September. We’re planning on coming out with a very strong package of incentives,” Safapour told BuzzBuzzHome over the phone.

The strong sales can be partly chalked up to the strong team Devron has put together at Flo. UNION31 are on interior design duty and Kirkor Architects + Planners are handling architecture.

The success can also be attributed to the company’s drive to make their first Toronto condo project one that will put them on the map.

“If you take a look at any business, when they first come out they have different goals and main objectives,” explained Safapour.

“But what’s consistent across the board for any new business is at the beginning what’s most important to you is your reputation. A business ten years down the line may be looking for ways to improve revenue or looking to maintain what they have. A new business is focusing on producing an extremely attractive product — revenue is secondary.”

Construction on Flo is expected to begin in summer 2013 but if things go smoothly, it may be nudged to spring 2013.
