We’re accustomed to being toured around construction sites of all shapes and sizes, but rarely do we need to board a bus to see everything that’s going down on a job site.

This was the case at the Canary District site, where a small coach bus drove a coterie of real estate minded-media around so that we could scope out all the action. The tour was led by Jason Lester, President of Dundee Kilmer Developments, the group for bringing Canary District to life.

For those not in the loop, the massive development in Toronto’s West Don Lands area is being built both as the Athletes’ Village for the 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games and the city’s largest urban village, accommodating residential condos, a new YMCA fitness centre, a George Brown College building and more.

Have a look at some of the pics we snapped of the busy construction site below!

There was plenty of activity on the site that day and many opportunities for action shots.

There are four cranes on site right now. With a project this big, a lot of heavy machinery is needed to get the job done.
