Curious about the flock of billionaires assembling, Avengers-style, at One57?
One more buyer at the hotly anticipated West 57th Street development has been unmasked by crusty upper-crust chronicler Michael Gross, and — plot twist! — he’s not a billionaire.
SmartFlyer travel agency owner and notable real estate flipper Michael Holtz is one of the 15 Central Park West owners who have signed up for a posh pad at Gary Barnett’s One57, Gross reported. Perpetual jetsetter Holtz’s other land holdings include apartments at the Park Imperial in Midtown and four condos at Richard Meier’s 165 Charles Street in West Village.
Holtz opted to flip his apartment at coveted address 15 Central Park West, rather than move in. The luxury travel mogul was first drawn to One57 because he serves on the advisory board of Park Hyatt Hotels, which will be the tower’s anchor tenant, according to Gross, whose critiques of Barnett’s “feverish… flogging,” “fan dance,” “sweet nothing-much” and “burlesque” gave us a good chuckle, along with some vivid mental images.
