The long-delayed project, christened Sackett Union in May by developer Alchemy Properties, will feature 32 condos and 11 townhouses at Court and Union streets. According to the teaser site, condo units will be two-bedroom, three-bedroom and four-bedroom. Four of the townhouses will be single-family housing and the other seven will be two-family homes. No two units will have the same floor plan.
Alchemy assumed control of the build after the original developer, the Clarett Group, abruptly shut down its NYC office in March 2011. Alchemy kept the envelope design of the seven-story building first proposed by Clarett, but changed the color of the facade.
There will be underground parking beneath the condominiums; the building’s amenities will include a gym, children’s play room, bicycle storage and a storage cage for all condo units. The two-family townhouses on Sackett Street will be about 4,300 square feet each and the Union Street homes will be about 4,000 to 4,800 square feet.
Construction is expected to finish by summer of next year.
