fridayharbour We’re approaching the last true weekend of summer and while you may think you’ve had your fill of cottaging for the season, Friday Harbour is here to assure you that you haven’t.

The new and unprecedented Geranium Corporation project is coming soon to scenic Big Bay Point on Lake Simcoe, widely regarded as a prime cottaging destination by just about everyone who’s had the privilege of relaxing on a dock there.

Friday Harbour is a massive undertaking and is expected to take 10 years to complete. A combination of condos and townhomes will be surrounded by incredible amenities including a destination marina with 1,000 boat slips, a 200 acre nature preserve and an 18-hole Doug Carrick designed golf course.

It’s still in its early days yet, but Geranium Corporation were kind enough to give us an incredible tour of the grounds that will be transformed into this world class cottaging destination. Have a look at our photos below…

The long road into Friday Harbour is surrounded by a nature preserve. It’s known colloquially amongst the development crew as “The Leafy Decompression Zone” and we can attest that it’s a very relaxing drive through the grounds.

When we reached the area where a construction crew is working on digging out the marina, we traveled up in a lift to get a better view of the grounds.

In the distance you can see the machines working on creating the marina. Geranium is working with Replay Resorts on this resort community. Replay is known for their work on Whistler, Tremblant, and Blue Mountain.
