On July 14th, SOLO District is hosting a movie themed community block party. Attendees will get the star treatment with face painting, kids crafts, free food and drinks, and activities.
But, the best part about the event is that it gives us the chance to take a closer look at the project.
When complete, SOLO District will include just under 1,400 homes as well as offices and commercial space.
SOLO District’s first phase release is a 45-storey, 374 unit high rise that offers stunning panoramic views of the North Shore Mountains, Mount Baker and downtown Vancouver.
It will also include the first Whole Foods in Burnaby. A health-focused grocery store right outside residents’ front doors? Awesome.
The energy efficient glass buildings cater to Burnaby’s changing demographic by offering homes which are attractive to young, educated, urbanites who value an uncrowded neighbourhood. But, the affordable prices make this project appealing to everyone from first time buyers to downsizers.
The location is ideal for commuters. Steps from Brentwood Town Centre Station, residents are a 20 minute transit ride away from downtown Vancouver. And, it is equally as convenient for those travelling by car.
Want to know more about this project? Then you’ll definitely want to attend the community block party from 11am-3pm this Saturday July 14th at the corner of Lougheed and Willingdon.
