BISHA 191 It’s always great to see demolition get started to make way for a project, especially one that’s as fantastic as Bisha Hotel and Residences. The Lifetime and INK Entertainment project will soon be soaring 41 storeys above Blue Jays Way, just south of King Street.

Bisha is a project well worth following for several reasons. First off, the Bisha team take luxury seriously. From the immaculate sales centre to the exquisite Munge Leung interiors, this is a project that knows how to create a high class experience (did you know Lenny Kravitz designed an entire floor?). Secondly, it’s ideally situated for residents to take advantage of the wide range of entertainment, dining and shopping options that downtown Toronto offers.

And speaking of entertainment, part of what makes Bisha so unique is Lifetime‘s partnership with INK Entertainment. INK is known around the city for being the company behind the La Societe, Cube, Kool Haus, the Guvernment and This is London.

We could keep going, but you’re probably here for some awesome action shots of the demolition work. So without further ado…

The Bisha job site once housed The Diesel Playhouse, the theatre of the famed Second City comedy troupe. A drink from the old concession stand anyone?

After all the demolition the staircase is still standing. Sturdy? We think so…

Construction workers take down the old beams to make room for the new ones that will support the structure.

You saw what was going on inside, here’s what’s going on outside.

Back inside! These were known as the splatter zone seats for anyone who may have watched the musical production Evil Dead.
