215 chrystie An undeveloped parcel of land along Chrystie Street, south of East Houston, may become the site of a new 25 story luxury hotel and condo building if plans are approved by a zoning committee next month.

The Bowery Boogie reports that Cammeby’s International, the residential and commercial development company owned by Ruby Schron, is seeking approval from the community board for this new project in the Lower East Side.

The SoHo-based Handel Architects have been tapped for the architectural work. The firm is known for their work on Lincoln Square, Trump Soho, 40 Bond and 255 Hudson Street.

No renderings are available yet, but it will be exciting to see what Cammeby’s International and Handel have in store for the Lower East Side site. Stay tuned…
