Muskoka. To Southern Ontarians, very few words sound as sweet.

Muskoka is the epitome of cottage country. It conjures up images of the great outdoors, summers spent canoeing and barbecuing, and winters spent skiing and warming up by the fireplace. Cottage culture has largely stayed the same over the years, but every now and again it gets a little update.

Enter Deerhurst Lakeside Lodge, the new Skyline development that seeks to capture the classic Muskoka atmosphere with an urban city flavour.

A lot of the classic Muskoka atmosphere is thanks to the incredible surroundings and access to Skyline’s Deerhurst Resort. Taking full advantage of the great outdoors has never been so easy. Each Lakeside Lodge owner will be able to go rock climbing, paintballing, waterskiing, canoeing, dogsledding, snowmobiling, horseback riding… The list goes on.

The urban city flavour comes courtesy of Richard Wengle, the architect behind Deerhurst Lakeside Lodge, and the excellent interiors designed by the in-demand Union 31.

Each suite will come with a large balcony or patio, granite countertops, hard surface flooring, 9′ to 10′ ceilings, fireplace, under mounting sinks, in suite laundry facilities and stainless steel appliances. The majority of the suites will have stunning views of Peninsula Lake or Sunset Bay, an infinity pool and hot tub overlooking the lake and exclusive barbecue facilities only for owners.

Idyllic? You bet! You can expect nothing less when Skyline‘s on the job.
