109OZ Can gardening be hip? Of course it can!

What could be cooler than growing your own delicious produce and beautiful flowers on your balcony or backyard?

The folks over at 109OZ, the uber-hip new development by Reserve Properties, are betting that the local Ossington hipster crowd will come out to flex their green thumbs as a part of their second pop-up program on May 26 and 27 and June 2 and 3.

The Urban Garden Pop-Up Shop kicks off at 10am this Saturday at the 109OZ presentation centre, offering the public a chance to attend free workshops on vertical gardening, container gardening, organic farming and more.

The workshops will be complemented by an outdoor market where gardening enthusiasts can purchase plants, pots, produce, flowers, herbs, vegetables — pretty much anything a gardener needs.

Plenty of experts will be dropping by to run the free workshops including Scott Torrance Landscape Architects, gardening expert and author Steven Biggs, florist and landscape design shop Sweetpeas and Fresh City Farms.

Whether you’re a gardening expert or a budding botanist, this is not an event to be missed.

Swing by the 109OZ presentation centre at 109 Ossington Avenue between 10am and 4pm on any of the dates above to give that green thumb a workout.

In the meantime, check out our pics from the first 109OZ Pop-Up event and our shots from their presentation centre.
