Any real estate savvy individual will tell you that location is key, but how is even more value added to homes in a neighbourhood that’s long-established as a sought-after area?

Well there are a few methods, however, few are as tried and true as the addition of a new point of accessibility to a neighbourhood. Nothing provides a boost quite like a new transit route or the extension of a road.

Characterized as one of the most ambitious infrastructure projects in the country, the new transit route will operate the same way as a subway does. It will connect west to east from Jane Street/Black Creek Drive to Kennedy Station with 10 kilometres tunneled underground between Keele Street and Laird Drive.

The Eglinton LRT is already under construction and will surely add considerable value to Forest Hill’s Upper Village, the neighbourhood that the development will call home. There will be a stop on the north side of Eglinton and Bathurst, allowing The Hills‘ residents to take full advantage of the transit route. That’s a big win for accessibility!

And it wasn’t like the Upper Village — and the future location of The Hill especially — was hurting for accessibility in the first place. The Allen Expressway is only moments away and Eglinton West station will allow residents to get downtown in no time. However, you don’t need a business degree to see that the addition of the LRT to the neighbourhood makes The Hill a very worthwhile investment.
