A home without art isn’t much of a home at all. We’ve always been adamant about the aesthetic value that a beautiful painting or cool sculpture adds to your abode.

Considering our arty inclinations, it should be no surprise that we’re pretty stoked for the Walnut Studios Spring Renewal Art Show and Sale.

Walnut Studios is an community-based art studio at 83 Walnut Avenue in the hip and eclectic King West Village. The sale is happening on Saturday, May 12 and will be a great opportunity to purchase original art by over 40 independent, local artists.

The fun starts at noon with an open house and continues on into the night with a reception from 7pm to 11pm with a live DJ and cash bar.

Sounds like the perfect time to buy some original art to enhance the visual appeal of your new home. Don’t fall into the bare walls trap that so many new home purchasers find themselves in!

So what will these talented artists be selling? You’ll be able to find paintings, drawings, screen prints, sculpture, glass, photography, film, jewellery, fashion and mixed media. That’s a long list…

Have a look at some of the artists’ work to get a taste of what you’ll be seeing at the event:

We’ll have more buzz on this sweet event closer to the date, but mark this one down on your calendar in the meantime.
