The Building Industry and Land Development Association announced today that it has chosen Bryan W. Tuckey as its new President and CEO.

Bryan will take over the position as of May 22, 2012.

“Bryan comes to BILD with more than 20 years of senior management experience at all three levels of government in Ontario. He is recognized as a strategic thinker, a dynamic leader and a professional with integrity who focuses on finding solutions while maintaining strong relationships,” said BILD Chairman Paul Golini Jr in a press release.

Bryan definitely sounds like the right guy for the job. His past positions include York Region’s Commissioner of Planning and Development Services, Acting Assistant Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing and the Director of Community Planning at the City of Toronto and the former City of North York. That’s quite a resume!

Joe Vaccaro, the COO of the Ontario Home Builders’ Association took over the position in the interim following the sudden passing of Stephen Dupuis in September 2011. BILD’s Board of Directors thanked Joe for all his hard work.

We’re looking forward to seeing what Bryan has in store for the organization that represents over 1,350 in the land development, home building and professional renovation industry in the GTA.
