Creating an immersive experience and accurately portraying life in the neighbourhood is the aim of any good sales centre. Of course, what’s on the inside of the building matters a lot, but many developers also realize the importance of creating a visually appealing exterior to accompany the stunning interior.
So when it was time to design the 109OZ sales centre in the arty and hip Ossington Village neighbourhood, Reserve Properties brought a highly skilled muralist on board to create an arresting design for the facade.
William Lazos is an award winning Toronto-based muralist whose career has spanned three decades. He’s taught at George Brown College and his work has been showcased at exhibits around the world. Reserve also brought on Ian Keltie, a UK-based illustrator who created the illustrations for William to replicate on the sales centre facade. Ian’s illustrations have appeared in The New York Times, Entertainment Weekly, Billboard Magazine as well as Mountain Dew and Nissan. So cool!
The sales centre opens for a preview an event on April 28 (by appointment only), but of course, don’t hesitate to take a stroll by the sales centre to check out William and Ian’s finished piece. Check out some pics of William working on the mural below…
