On Tuesday night the RISE sales centre became the go-to place for entrepreneurs and creative-types thanks to Reserve Properties‘ second “On the Rise” event.

Brooklyn-based entrepreneur and musician Amber Lee was in the house (or sales centre) to speak about creative capital and the changing landscape of business. After graduating from the Richard Ivey School of Business, Amber moved to New York and has been involved with several start-ups. She’s also the mastermind behind BKLYN HAUS, a digital talent agency.

Attendees enjoyed complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres while admiring the RISE scale model and model suite. Amber’s talk began at 7:30 and was followed by a solo acoustic performance of songs she’s written with her band, Amber and Little Criminals.

During her talk she covered topics like why New York is such a hub for creative talent, what Toronto can do to improve its international standing in the creative capital world and cool, made in New York concepts like General Assembly.

Check out some photos we snapped of the event below…

We've taken a few pics of the RISE scale model before, but it was looking so good today we just couldn't resist snapping a few more.

RISE will... rise 25 storeys above St. Clair West and Bathurst once it's complete.

Between 6:30 and 7:30, a steady stream of curious future residents, potential home buyers and interested entrepreneurs flowed into the sales centre.

While we waited for Amber Lee to begin her talk, we took a walk through the model suite. The staff had all the finishes lined up at the entrance.

The model suite happens to be perfectly lit for taking photos.

Turns out Amber is multi-talented! After the talk, she picked up her guitar and performed a few original songs.
