We’ve covered Flaire from about a dozen different angles.
We’ve talked with Frank Giannone, the head honcho at Fram and the man with the vision behind this development. We also spoke with his brother Ralph, who is handling the architecture on the project. We’ve explored the Shops at Don Mills, the community of which Flaire will be a big part, and even scoped out the building’s scale model.
So what’s left to talk about? The amenities of course!
While Flaire is only steps away from all of the fine dining and primo shopping that the Shops at Don Mills has to offer, the condo will still boast some great on-site amenities.
Munge Leung were tapped for their interior design expertise for the amenities which include a slick party room (The Hub), cabanas and lounge seating on a rooftop terrace and a state-of-the-art fitness centre.
The acclaimed design firm has experience working in hospitality and residential across the globe. They’re bringing this worldly design experience to the amenities at Flaire.
“It’s really about how people relate,” says Alessandro Munge. “The Shops at Don Mills is really key to it all. They’ve set such a high standard for amenities, why would people buy here unless the amenities are even better?”
The lobby is characterized as functional and beautiful. A place where people will want to hang out and greet friends rather than simply breezing through on their way in or out. Munge remarks that the firm’s experience designing five-star hotels, bars and night clubs gives them insight into how people want to interact and congregate.
“We don’t see the lobby as a space you merely pass through,” he says. “There’s an opportunity for human connection everywhere in this building.”
The expansive lobby will feature a polished walnut concierge desk and a wall of glass overlooking a garden space. The Flame Lounge, a lobby enclave beyond a two-way fireplace will give residents an inviting indoor space to relax and take advantage of the Wi-Fi.
The party room, recently dubbed The Hub, will feature a catering kitchen and bar as well as a dining room that wouldn’t look out of place in a boutique hotel.
Moving on up to the top, cabanas and lounge seating will dot the rooftop terrace while plantings and specially commissioned sculptures will keep the vibe super cool. From the rooftop, residents will enjoy panoramic views of the Shops and downtown Toronto as well as cooking up some veggie burgers and tofu hot dogs (or whatever you want) on modern barbecue firepits.
More buzz on Flaire? We’re sure they’ll come up with something buzzworthy soon. But until then these amenities will be enough food for thought…
