No long slog just to pass the 50 per cent sold mark. No re-branding to try to appeal to a new demographic.

Some developments just nail it on the first try and rack up impressive sales numbers right off the bat. Studio2, the new condo and townhouse project by Aspen Ridge Homes, is one of those projects.

Studio2‘s grand opening in January was a resounding success and sales have already nearly hit the 75 per cent sold mark.

So how does one go about creating an uber-success like Studio2? Well, as with anything real estate, location is key. Studio2 is situated in the Richmond-Dundas area which is known to some as the New Yorkville.

It’s one of the cultural hubs of downtown Toronto with galleries, museums, restaurants, and entertainment venues all within walking distance. Oh, and top notch shopping? Do you even have to ask??

Okay, so clearly Studio2 has got the location. But that’s not the only thing that the development has going for it.

The Studio condo community (which also features Studio on Richmond) will boast an 8,000 square foot area that will be available to the Ontario College of Art and Design for use as a public art gallery and restaurant. Art for art’s sake? No way, this is a great plan for this artsy area of the city.

Beyond the great location and this innovative amenity, Studio2 will sport some eye-catching architecture by Quadrangle Architects and condo amenities like a nightclub-style bar, media room, party room, cardio and weights room, and a billiards room.

Suites at Studio2 appear to be selling at a hot cake pace so be sure to check this development out, sooner rather than later.

We got a couple of shots of the grand opening, check them out below!
