When it comes to selling condos in Barrie, it looks like no one does it quite like MADY.

The developer is celebrating hot cake-esque sales at their LAKEview project at Collier Street and Mulcaster Street near Kempenfelt Bay. LAKEview was launched in October 2011 and 65 per cent of its 76 units are already sold.

Barrie is one of Canada’s fastest growing cities and since LAKEview is close to a GO station and Highway 400, commuting to the Big Smoke (that’s apparently a nickname for Toronto) will be no problem.

Suites range in size from 516 to 807 square feet and prices start from $164,990. The building is stepped back from south to north, allowing almost every suite to have a lake view. Construction is set to begin in Fall 2012.

But wait, MADY has another great reason to be celebrating their success in Barrie. MarketTown has hit the 80 per cent sold mark and construction will begin in Spring 2012.

The two developments have a broad appeal but each have their own unique benefits to boast about. MarketTown has attracted first-time homebuyers, growing families and empty nesters while LAKEview is getting its fair share of young professional buyers who are finding the development’s proximity to downtown very desirable.

LAKEview is also catching the eye of more mature buyers who want to be close to a variety of shops and services (like the Sobey’s within the development!).

Sounds like Barrie is going mad for MADY! More on these projects and the fine city of Barrie as the buzz comes in.
