Okay, enough with the puns already! Let’s get into the serious news you came here to read about — ION celebrated their grand opening last Saturday and it was a huge hit.
Hopeful homebuyers flooded the sales centre and many purchased suites at the ten storey development. Word on the street is the purchasers were end users, meaning they’ll actually be living in the building once it’s complete.
For those of you still in the dark on ION, well, you’ve been missing out on a great development. Don’t worry though, we’re here to fill you in.
ION is situated on Wilson Avenue, just east of Keele, and will sit directly across from the new Humber River Regional Hospital, which is slated to be one of Canada’s largest regional acute care hospitals. It’s scheduled for completion in 2015 and will be an environmental and technological showcase as North America’s first fully digital hospital.
To borrow a phrase from Larry David, that sounds prettay, prettay, prettay good.
The project, a collaboration between Cityzen and Fernbrook, will feature 200 suites with bachelors starting at 300 square feet and two bedroom plus den suites measuring in at 915 square feet. One bedrooms start at 490 square feet while one plus dens range from 650 to 750 square feet.
Sound good? Sounds great! We’ll be buzzing more on this project soon so check back often…
