Here at BuzzBuzzHome, construction site tours are our bread and butter.

Although we’ve gone on our fair share of tours over the last few years, we still enjoy lacing up our steel-toed boots, donning our hard hats and getting our hands a little bit dirty.

We’ve had our eye on Residences at RCMI for awhile now and were thrilled when we received word that we could tour the construction site.

The Tribute Communities development is notable for its interesting history and relationship with the Royal Canadian Military Institute, Canada’s premier institute for military studies.

The construction site is located on University Avenue, just a touch south of Dundas Street near the American Embassy. Demolition began in September 2010 and the crew has been hard at work ever since bringing this 42 storey beauty to life.

We arrived at the site bright and early with our camera to snap some shots as the crew worked away on the ground floor of the building.

We’ll be back at the site as construction progresses, but in the meantime enjoy the pics!

We really had to crane our necks up for this one! (Nice pun... Why, thank you.)

What's the one problem with doing construction in the winter? Sometimes the work is very "snow" going... *crickets*

The construction team is currently on ground level right now, but they expect to reach the fifth floor within five months. Following that floors will be added on at a faster pace.

Looks pretty intense. This definitely ain't your father's work bench... Unless, of course, your father was a construction worker.

With the blue sky in the background, we just couldn't get enough of the crane. It was a photo-takin' frenzy.

Suites are priced from $388,990. For more info call the sales centre at 416 363 4800 or email Click here to visit the Tribute Communities website!
