Fool us once, shame on you; fool us twice, shame on us. That’s how it goes right?

Well we won’t get fooled again when it comes to news websites and blogs making outrageous claims about architectural wonders and exorbitantly expensive homes. It already happened a few months back…

Luckily we approached this one with a skeptical eye and it looks like another blog did too. The claim: Broad Sustainable Buildings, a privately-owned Chinese company, is planning a 200 storey vertical city that will have the capacity to house 100,000 people. It would be the second tallest building in the world and boast a world class sustainability record.

The company says it can have the giant prefab building built in six months, from the factory to finished on-site. That would be pretty amazing, but Broad Sustainable Buildings has yet to find any cities willing to take their fabulous prefab.

So are they for real? We’ll just have to see about that. Broad certainly seems to have their pre-fabs down to a science though, so if anyone is going to do it, it’s them!
