There’s already been a metric ton of buzz on the new Streetcar Development and Dundee Realty project, The Carlaw, but we can’t help but stir the honeypot again with another buzzworthy story.

We’ve been paying extra special attention to the great neighbourhood that future Carlaw residents will call home — the classic Leslieville — as well as the warm modernist architecture designed by TACT. Now we want to shift gears and get down to some sorely needed suite talk. After all, The Carlaw boasts not one, but two model suites at their sales centre at 345 Carlaw Avenue and, of course, a primo scale model.

Even with the two model suites, there’s still plenty of space in this huge sales centre. However, we’re just happy that they did something inventive with their two models. Instead of two generic models, the interior designers at Seven Haus have injected a boat load of character into both suites. The 1 bedroom + den suite fits with a feminine design sensibility while the 2 bedroom + den has a distinctly masculine look and feel.

We could stand around flappin’ our gums on the subject of these sweet model suites for ages, but maybe the best thing to do right now is just to show you what we’re talking about…

The Carlaw will be 12 storeys and comprise 320 suites.

The fine architects over at TACT created The Carlaw's awesome design.

Now onto the model suites. The Carlaw sales centre had room for two so they created one suite with more feminine sensibilities and one with a more masculine vibe. Guess which one this is... It's the Genevieve, a 646 square foot, 1 bedroom + den suite! Genevieve is a well-traveled, fashionista blog writer.

Seven Haus is handling the interiors at The Carlaw. We're loving the look. Seems like Streetcar model suites always have incredibly interesting and unique designs and items.

We've heard of a clock tower, but never a clock table. What'll they come up with next?

The Genevieve bedroom.

And now onto the Edwin, the masculine 744 square foot, 2 bedroom + den suite. Edwin is a cultured architectural history and trends buff.

We were very intrigued by the chaise longue sitting in the living space. Practical? Awesome looking? You be the judge.

We've said it before and we'll say it again, we are LOVING the interiors of these model suites. You can tell a lot of creative passion was poured in and it really paid off. We might have to steal the ol' bike on the wall flourish for our office.

The selection of finishes was displayed on a table instead of hung from the wall. Nice touch!
