Was a new store opening at Square One? Did the Ice Dogs win a game? NO! That’s old Mississauga talk. Events like that may have been significant for the city 20 years ago when people considered it to be simple, sleepy Toronto suburb, but stuff like that doesn’t garner attention anymore.
This was an event of a totally different kind. On Friday, the first privately commissioned piece of public art was unveiled at Cityzen‘s and Fernbrook Homes‘ Absolute World condo development. The sculptures, displayed at the corner of Hurontario and Burnhamthorpe, are truly international pieces as they were created by world renowned artist and sculptor Francisco Gazitua of Chile.
The sculptures feature the images of three horses in dynamic poses. They’re pretty awesome to see up close, but for now you’ll have to live vicariously through our photos. Have a look…
