Before the paparazzi were hounding her and record label execs were blowing up her telephone, Lady Gaga lived in a modest Lower East Side apartment in Manhattan.

And guess what! It’s now back on the rental market. So New Yorkers, take note, if you’re a big Lady Gaga fan or just looking for a way to channel her creativity and talent, this place might be for you.

The apartment is located at 176 Stanton Street. It’s a one bedroom on the third floor of the building and is going for $1,850. That’s pretty steep, but this is Manhattan after all. The place is actually pretty spacious by New York standards.

It’s currently listed on CitiHabitats with the following description attached to it:

“Phenominal 1br in the LES!! Former abode of the infamous Lady Gaga–legitimately! Sporting french doors, a marble bath, and a spacious floor-plan, you’re a hop-skip-n-jump from the trains and steps from the hottest nightlife in NYC. Give me a call today to check out this, or anything else you may see on the Citi website. Thank you!!”

If you’re doubting the legitimacy of this listing (Gaga never lived in a normal apartment, she came to Earth from Mars or something!), check out the video below of Lady Gaga and CNN super reporter Anderson Cooper trying to get into Gaga’s old abode in a segment for 60 Minutes.

The tenant at the time wouldn’t let Gaga and Cooper in because she was sick and the place was a mess. Wonder what we’d do in a similar situation… Lady Gaga doesn’t seem like the judgmental type, but the jury is still out on Coops!
